Hey there, fellow foodies! I just stumbled upon some drool-worthy recipes that I had to share with you all. I mean, my taste buds were already doing the happy dance just by looking at the images. So, naturally, I had to check out the recipes, and boy, oh boy, am I glad I did! First up, we have a dish that is sure to satiate your cravings for something spicy and flavourful - Chicken Lazone With Creamy Vermicelli. I know the name might sound fancy, but trust me when I say that this dish is anything but complicated. And don't worry if you don't have all the ingredients on hand, because Gousto has got you covered. To start off, let's talk about that creamy vermicelli. It's like a cross between pasta and rice, and it soaks up all the delicious flavours of the dish. And the tender chicken breast seasoned with cajun spice mix and cooked to perfection is just the icing on the cake. For the full recipe, check out the image below.

Chicken Lazone With Creamy Vermicelli Recipe

Ingredients:

• 200g Vermicelli
• 2 Garlic Cloves
• 1 Chicken Stock Cube
• 2 Chicken Breasts
• 4 Tsp Cajun Spice Mix
• 1 Tbsp Cornflour
• 30g Parmesan Cheese
• 100ml Double Cream
• 1 Baby Gem Lettuce
• 1 Lemon

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 200C/ 180C (fan)/ 400F/ Gas 6.
2. Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil (use 1 litre for 2 people / 2 litres for 4 people).
3. Add a pinch of salt and the vermicelli and cook for 8-10 min or until tender with a bite. Drain in a colander and leave to one side.
4. Peel and finely chop (or grate) the garlic. Dissolve the stock cube in 300ml (600ml) boiled water.
5. Pat the chicken dry with kitchen paper. In a bowl mix together the chicken, the Cajun seasoning and cornflour. Make sure each piece is coated evenly.
6. Place a large ovenproof frying pan over medium-high heat with 1 tbsp (2 tbsp) olive oil. Once hot, add the chicken and cook for 5-6 min or until browned on all sides.
7. Stir in the garlic and cook for a further 30 secs, until fragrant.
8. Pour in the chicken stock to the pan and bring to the boil. Once boiling, transfer the pan to the oven and bake for 10-12 min or until the chicken is cooked through.
9. While the chicken is baking, grate the Parmesan cheese and finely chop the baby gem.
10. Add the cooked vermicelli to the chicken juices in the ovenproof frying pan along with the double cream, half the Parmesan cheese and 2-3 tbsp of warm water. Give everything a good mix to combine.
11. Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the pan and slice it into strips.
12. Divide the creamy chicken and vermicelli between your bowls.
13. Squeeze over some lemon juice, top with the baby gem and the remaining Parmesan cheese (and a pinch of black pepper if you fancy it) and serve.
